On July 1, 2022, the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii issued RFP No. CS2022-1, “Designing, Furnishing, and Installing Functional Workspaces for the Relocation of RCUH Offices from the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa Innovation Center to East-West Center Burns Hall.” And issued Amendment #1 on July 7, 2022.
We hereby issue this Amendment #2, by revising the following:
Section 2 – Statement of Work

From: It is our intent to utilize existing HON (Accelerate and Abound) furnishings—under 7 years old—at MIC, where possible, and to purchase new furnishings for Burns as needed. Existing furnishings will need to be dismantled, transported to Burns, and reassembled. New furnishings, if approved by RCUH, will need to be ordered, delivered, and installed.

To: If the Offeror submits a proposal that includes utilizing new modular furnishings, then the Offeror must order, deliver, and install the furnishings after they are approved for purchase. The Offeror must also dismantle and dispose of existing Burns Hall modular furnishings that are to be replaced. RCUH reserves the right to reconsider the dismantle and dispose task if the proposed cost is prohibitive, or the East-West Center, another tenant or organization would like to acquire the materials; the accepting organization will then be responsible for all costs of dismantling, transportation, and reassembly.
If the Offeror submits a proposal that includes utilizing existing HON modular furnishings, then in addition to above, the Offeror must dismantle existing MIC furnishings that can be utilized, transport pieces to Burns, and reassemble.

In addition, please provide a separate proposal for ONE of the options below:
a. OPTION A: Provide and install only new modular furnishing for the following rooms:

b. OPTION B: Utilize existing modular furniture from MIC 201 and provide new modular furnishings as needed for the following rooms:
