RCUH Awards Luncheon — October 27, 2022

The awards luncheon for the 2022 RCUH Outstanding Employees of the Year will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the newly revitalized University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Campus Center Ballroom.

IRS Standard Mileage Rate Updated July 1, 2022

The Internal Revenue Service has announced an increase to the standard mileage rate for business travel for the remainder of calendar year 2022. Click here to see the IRS announcement.

The rate is now $0.625 per mile and may be claimed for business travel that occurs July 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022.

RCUH Attachment 12, Current RCUH Travel Rates, has been updated with the mileage rate change. UH employees may refer to eTravel Allowable Rates & Memos.

On July 1, 2022, the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii (RCUH) issued RFP No. CS2022-1, “Designing, Furnishing, and Installing Functional Workspaces for the Relocation of RCUH Offices from the University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa Innovation Center to East-West Center Burns Hall.” RCUH issued Amendment #1 on July 7, 2022 and Amendment #2 on July 12, 2022.

UPDATE – Problem with Payments – July 19, 2022

The RCUH Financial Portal is back in operation and you may resume approving transactions in the Financial Portal.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, we encountered a system error which affected our end of day business processing and consequently checks could not be printed. Vendor payments approved on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 will be processed a little later than normal on July 20, 2022.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and we appreciate your patience.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, we encountered a system error which affected our end of day business processing and consequently checks could not be printed.  We are working to resolve the issue and we will post an updated announcement when the Financial Portal is back in operation. We hereby issue this Amendment #2, by revising the following:

Section 2 – Statement of Work

From:    It is our intent to utilize existing HON (Accelerate and Abound) furnishings—under 7 years old—at MIC, where possible, and to purchase new furnishings for Burns as needed. If the Offeror submits a proposal that includes utilizing existing HON modular furnishings, then in addition to above, the Offeror must dismantle existing MIC furnishings that can be utilized, transport pieces to Burns, and reassemble.
